About us

In a world of work-related stress, living daily in an ever more unsustainable way we made a specific and challenging choice. Over the years we have enriched ourselves with experiences, we have acquired many and varied skills and knowledge that have made us a bit wiser, giving us the clarity to decide what to do with our personal and professional lives. Strengthened by our experience gained in the food and wine field and rooted in a love of nature and the countryside, we found ourselves a bit disillusioned by an unscrupulous food trade that almost exclusively rewards the intermediaries of a production chain, often of dubious quality, to the detriment of those who work hard to obtain a quality product. We desire authentic flavours and aromas and want to remunerate with the right price the people who know how to create these. This is where our choice comes from, joining the desire to work in a more human and "natural" climate to the desire to create a family in a healthy and genuine environment. Matilda and Federico were born from this concept, as the focal point of our motivation, and we dedicate our project to them. We make our hospitality an authentic piece of ourselves; we want our house to be a place open to friends who want to share our pleasure in living in a good, clean and fair way, to quote Carlo Petrini from the book of the same name.

The Welcome

Casa Matilda is surrounded by quiet green corners where you can sunbathe or read a good book in the shade of a fruit tree or under a pergola. On warm days our guests can cool off in the salt water pool heated by solar panels and enjoy the fantastic views over the hills. Lovers of walking can wander through the parkland around the house to the woods that border the property and continue following the signs of the trail "sentiero rosa" (loop circuit of about 4km). In addition, Casa Matilda is located in a strategic point for lovers of cycling as it is close to the road that connects the Langhe albesi to the rugged hills that descend to the sea, paths much loved also by Motorcyclists! Finally, for children and adults alike there is table tennis, table football, a swing, games and various entertainments.
